Today DealerPeople Inc. announces the top three winners for their annual National Walkaround Competition for 2016. Every year DealerPeople asks dealerships nationwide to submit their best vehicle walkaround videos for the competition. A vehicle walkaround video is a showcase of any automobile.  This video is designed to help the customer see the features and advantages of purchasing that certain vehicle displayed in the video.

Some of the main stipulations that went into judging the videos consisted of video quality, information contained in the video and delivery of the information.  From the judging, a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner was chosen from that criteria. The Third Place winner receives $300, Second Place receives $500 and First Place receives the Grand Prize of $1,000. This year’s event was graciously sponsored by LESA.

With over 4,000 dealerships that qualified with DealerPeople, three entries were chosen.  Third Place goes to Tim Bartz from Long McArthur Ford in Salina, KS.  Second Place goes to Alison McKensie at Reno Buick/GMC in Reno, NV.  And the First Place winner is Joel Milburn from Capitol Buick/GMC, DGDG Group of Dealerships in San Jose, CA.

Jay Mortensen, Founder and CEO of DealerPeople, said they were pleased by the entries. “We were impressed by the quality of the entries we received.  There’s no question a great walk around helps a dealership set itself apart from the others. We are privileged to be a part of helping dealerships improve their training through DealerPeople University and look forward to announcing details about our 2017 competition.”

Capitol Buick/GMC, along with Jay Mortensen from DealerPeople, is presenting the 1st Place award to Joel Milburn at 9:00 am PST on Friday, April 7th at the Capitol Buick/GMC dealership in San Jose, CA.
